Metalizing, also known as; flame spray, is a process we offer to prevent the corrosion of your steel product.As long as steel has been around, there has been a need to protect it. It starts with sandblasting the product to clean and prepare the surface for the metalized coating. This removes any rust, mill scales and oils as well as giving it texture to help the metalized coating stick. Next comes the metalizing; which is a process where a zinc wire is melted and propelled onto the sandblasted surface. This provides a permanent bond between the metal coating and the prepared surface. To sum it up, metalizing is a hard protective coating acting as a “primer.” However, this “primer” lasts 15-20 years longer than any paint or base coat primer ever will. Products / Services
